The value of traditional Chinese Martial arts can be summarised as follows


  1. Health and fitness (强身健体)

  2. Self-Defence (自卫防身)

  3. Culture(优雅技术)

  4. Entertainment/Performance(自乐娱人)

There are many varying forms of traditional chinese martial arts, including Xingyiquan, Baguazhang, Taijiquan and Tongbeiquan. Standing Qigong (站桩) is one of the activities performed, apart from light sparring and executing self-defence drills.
